Terraced garden is a concept not known to many and even experienced landscape designers find the simplicity in it as challenging. After a working hard during the day, we all need to relax our body and mind. Terraced garden provides a cool ambience and a serene environment for solitude and self reflection. This is because a good environment is always associated with nature. Nature captivates our minds and enhances relaxation. You can sit in your terrace garden in the morning to take a cup of tea or you can invite friends over for a couple of drinks in the evening. Terraced garden can be an enjoyable activity especially for families or a group of friends mostly women. Everyone enjoys a good environment and trees are refreshing and pleasing to the eyes. If there are a lot plants, then it is a surety that your environment will be clean and chances of falling seek are very low. Moreover, nature teaches us two very important human virtues, calmness and patience. With a terrace garden, you are reminded of these virtues on a daily basis.
A typical terrace garden consists of shrubs, grass, fountains, trees, deck, solar lights, other plants and most importantly a water body. You can also consider planting vegetables in you terrace or even fruits for that matter. A list of vegetables common in terrace gardens includes chillies, cauliflower, tomatoes and cabbages. Flowers should also be included in the terrace garden and the common colours are red and white. A new concept in terrace gardening is green building. Green building keeps the environment clean and prevents air pollution. You might not have the time to walk in the park but you don’t need to be invited to take a walk inside your terrace. In order to make your terrace garden look more natural, concrete or stone is recommended.
However you could also use marble and granite. A good terrace garden should have an effective drainage system. The advantages of a garden cannot be downplayed.
