The secret place in the back

You can divide your garden into two different areas, one with a more “”public”" appearance, the front garden, and the back garden which will just please yourself and your family. A back garden often has a certain disadvantage, but this is not necessarily so. But in many cases the front part is the sunnier side and gets more light than the part in the back. But the opposite may be true, too, and this might lead to your back garden being a little piece of paradise!
Either way, light or a bit darker, the garden in the back has the special advantage of being more secluded. While the front garden is kind of a showcase which will be commented upon by neighbours and passers-by, the garden that is hidden in the back is all yours. So, feel free to plant the things that you desire, choose any style, Meditteranean, rural or Asian, anything your heart desires, and turn this into your personal paradise. You may have a terrace, you may set up hammocks, a pavillion, anything that you like. If a lawn appeals to you, fine, a nice place for the children to play can be created. If your mind is set on having a Mediterranean spot, complete with terracotta potholders, herbs, such as rosemary or thyme, it is your choice.
A more secret garden holds any chances to act independently. And if you don`t find the time to do a lot of gardening, no harm is done, since everything is more clandestine, less open. So your place for recreation may be in the back, lazy Sundays spent on a wicker bench, drinking coffee, talking on the phone – and no one to bother you. Freedom in a special way, so make use of the chances that present themselves. Follow your personal taste, use rocks, shells, dig a pond, create a plant spiral, or just let things grow the way they want to. After all, it is your place of recreation, and it should be precisely the way you want it to be.
